DESIGN-EX, MELBOURNE May 2013

The yearly Design-Ex is always a pleasure to attend, learn about new design products and catching up with other designers and suppliers that I got to know for many years now.

  

The Dulux stand showed their new products, one of them is the new Dreyerase product. It works like this: paint your walls in a Dulux Wash and Wear product, put on top the Dreyerase product, clear coat. This works as a white board so now you can write on your walls, ideal for in board rooms, class rooms in schools or to have at home in your kitchen or in your kids’ bed rooms!

Not new in the market but still pretty to look at, wall paper which looks like mosaic tiles.

A new alfresco heater caught my eye, it also comes in a white colour. You can have LED lights changing colour inside the shade and also apply a small border around the base -hip height- so you can put your drink on it whilst enjoying the warmth of the heater in chilly winter evenings. Ideal for cafes/restaurants’ outdoor areas or just a fun item in your own back yard.
